Livestream Class Process:

Step 1: Register and Pay for Class via MindBody at least 1 hour before the start of class. CLICK HERE to register!

Step 2: Please check your email for the link to class. We will email you this roughly 15 minutes before the start of each class. The email will come from pleasurepointyoga@gmail.com. Please click on the link in the body of that email. This will redirect you to the Registration step with Zoom. If you cannot find this email in your inbox, please check your Junk folder.

Step 3: Register with Zoom: Please check that the First Name, Last Name, and Email you see on the registration step matches with your account info you used to enroll in class via MindBody (Step 1). If this matches, Zoom will let you into the livestream environment.

Step 4: Drop in and enjoy class!


 

In Studio Housekeeping / Safety Rules:

  • Masks are optional for all persons. Space is limited. We have Air Purifiers. We practice with Windows & Doors open in our Dance & Movement Studio.
  • It is your responsibilty to ensure the health and safety of yourself and others. Stay home if you are sick, expect to get medical care, or have traveled more than 100 miles in the last 14 days.
  • Please continue to Pre-enroll / pay via MindBody to ensure your spot and an efficient check-in.
  • Walk-ins are also welcome! We accept credit, debit, cash, check.
  • Self Check-in is back! If you have Pre-Registered, please sign in on the ipad by entering your name or email.
  • Props are available for use, free of charge! Please return your prop neatly to the prop station where you found it.
  • If you use one of our mats, please always clean it with our cleaning solution (tee tree oil and water) before putting it away.
  • If you are in a Pole class, please always wipe down the pole after use with our spray bottles (with alcohol).
  • We will thoroughly clean and sanitize our studio and wash our blankets / sanitize our blocks.

Yoga Class Description:

Mixed Flow : Vinyasa Flow – All Levels

Vinyasa Flow builds strength, flexibility, balance, and helps to align mind, body and spirit by consciously directing, using, and linking each breath to movement seamlessly from one “asana” or posture to another. Each class is a dynamic, flowing practice, that builds on itself – – no two classes are alike. Each class will use yoga elements of Pranayama (breathwork), Asana (physical postures), and Meditation and hopes to promote a pathway to inner peace and happiness. It’s an awesome full body physical workout too! Welcome to All Levels, All Bodies, All Ages, All Ways!

Sweaty Flow : A more vigorous Vinyasa Flow – Level 2/3

Be ready to move, flow, sweat and let go!  A ramped up version of our mixed flow class with a faster pace and more vigorous flavor.  Previous yoga experience and foundation is required.

Slow Flow : A slower paced Vinyasa Flow – All Levels

Slow Flow builds foundation, strength, and proper alignment. Poses are held for longer periods of time, allowing students to find their edge (that place in between exerting too much and not enough) and soften into the fire. Extended pranayama and meditation practice is also weaved into this all levels practice. 

Gentle Yoga: Gentle & Deep Stretch & Functional Movement – All Levels

Imagine the possibility of finding a way to combine deep stretch, functional movement and yoga all together. This yoga class focuses on moving from pose to pose linking the movement with breath and deep stretch. The instructor will offer a variety of modifications to encourage Participants to enjoy a deep and connected practice. This class helps you to slow down, take a breath and deepen the connection with your mind movement and breath. We are able to explore how to adapt each pose to ourselves and benefit from the gentler and kinder approach to movement. Melissa has combined her 21 plus years of training in aquatic therapy, massage therapy and yoga to share this movement with her class. This class is perfect beginners and seasoned yogis who are welcome to intensify their practice.

Gentle Yin: Yin Yoga & Relaxation – All Levels

This Yin Yoga class helps participants with balance and flexibility. It works deeply into the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine. This class is suitable for all levels of students. It gently incorporates breath connection and is a perfect blend of stretch and relaxation. Melissa has combined her 21 plus years of training in aquatic therapy, massage therapy and yoga to share this movement with her class. This class is perfect beginners and seasoned yogis who are welcome to intensify their practice.

Yin Yoga : Relax, Rejuvenate, Renew – All Levels

The perfect compliment to your vinyasa practice. In Yin Yoga, passive floor postures are held for several minutes in order to create a positive and safe ‘stress’ on the deep layers of connective tissue in the body. Yin poses help to maintain healthy joints especially shoulders, spine and hips while restoring optimal energy flow in the body and preparing the mind for a deeper state of relaxation and meditation.

Restorative Yoga : Regenerate and Restore

Restorative is a gentle form of yoga that uses props (including blankets, blocks, bolsters, and straps) to support the body in full relaxation. Restorative yoga also leads the body and mind into deep stillness. This class is suitable and beneficial for all ages and levels of practice.

Dream Yoga: Somatic & Educational Experience – All Levels

DREAM Yoga is a 90 minute somatic and educational experience into our bodies and beyond with the intention of investigating our connection to our sleeping and waking dreams. Additionally we want this practice to embody itself into the physical, so we will move towards regulating ourselves in preparation for sleep and dream state.

Raj Yoga: Akhanda Hatha-Raja Yoga / Bhrāmarī Prāṇāyāma (honey bee🐝 breath) + Meditative Sequence – All Levels

Akhanda Hatha-Raja yoga, was developed by Yogrishi Vishvketu, Aubrey Padma’s root teacher in India. Akhanda Raj Yoga is a gentle holistic style of yoga which combines Bhrāmarī Prāṇāyāma (honey bee🐝 breath) and a meditative sequence of postures, designed to soothe the nervous system and support emotional balance and wellbeing, inviting moments of stillness and meditative inner awareness throughout the practice. Raj yoga provides stimulation to the Ājñā Chakra (3rd Eye), helping to calm the thought waves of the mind moving from active thinking to visualization and insight.

Prenatal Yoga : For Mommy’s to Be

A nurturing and welcoming class for mama. A blend of pranayama (breathing exercises) and asana to soften and surrender to opening, prepare for labor and childbirth, cultivate community and connection, and empower her to trust her own innate wisdom.

Satsang : Mantras, Sutras and Mudras, Oh My!

“Satsang” is the search for truth in a community of friends. We come together to explore and share the foundational Yoga chants and teachings. We begin each session with the Gayatri Mantra, the ancient salutation to the Sun. We then spend time chanting and discussing the Yoga Sutra of Patanjali, practicing pranayama (breath exercises), learning mudras (hand gestures), and sitting for meditation. This is a free offering, open to everyone. Please feel free to join us Monday mornings: 7:30-8:30am. 

Yoga Nidra : Sleep Meditation

This class is designed to guide you into a deep and conscious relaxation of body, mind, and spirit: to a place between dreaming and waking. Yoga Nidra is often referred to as ‘Yogic Sleep’. It is said that 45 mins of Yoga Nidra is equivalent in benefits to 4 hours of traditional sleep. 

Kirtan: Call & Response Chanting

Kirtan is call and response chanting from the Bhakti Yoga tradition, a joyful practice of devotion. All voices are welcome! 3rd Mondays of the Month. 7:30-9PM – suggested $5-10 donation, no one will be turned away for lack of funds. 

Crystal Bowl Sound Journey : Sound Healing

Kim Molloy is a Sound Alchemist divinely gifted with Sound and Energy Healing. She integrates Theta Healing, Reiki, and Angelic Healing energies. Kim channels energy and vibration from the higher dimensions into this earth plane.  The Crystal Bowls are the vehicle for transmitting these like codes, sounds, and energy vibrations. They are musically attuned to the chakras in the body infusing pure light vibration and harmonic sound waves that resonate into every cell.

Gong Meditation & Relaxation: Sound Healing

Come and unwind with the soothing vibrations of gongs and healing instruments with Naomi & Fergus. Meditations using breath, sound, and rhythm will be enjoyed before basking in a long, healing gong bath.


What to Expect: YOGA

Expect to move and breathe smoothly from one pose to another and if needed to take breaks in resting poses.  The style and sequence will vary depending on the teacher, our online schedule shows the teacher for each class.  The space, which is kept warm, (around 75-80 degrees) is simple and beautiful with high ceilings, bamboo floors and a wall of large frosted windows.

Cardio Funk : Choreography Add-On Class – All Levels

CARDIO FUNK is a high energy all level choreography dance class to upbeat music where we build a fun and accessible dance routine over the hour for some serious satisfaction by the end. Starting with a warm-up then breaking down moves with a continuous cardio flow that includes some gut and ab toning, Alison’s clear and experienced style makes dancing our way to wellness AWESOME and available to all levels with no dance experience necessary!

BEGINNER Cardio Hip Hop & Zumba : Dance Fitness – Beginner

You will learn step-by-step, non-intimidating breakdown of essential moves and styles of Hip Hop & Zumba. Intended as a class to get you fully comfortable and prepared to graduate to our All Levels dance classes and as accompaniment class specifically to Joy’s All Levels Hip Hop & Zumba, which is taught on Thursdays at 9am. What you see in the Monday Class, you will also dance in the Thursday class – – but Monday will spend a LOT OF TIME breaking things down, step-by-step, with focus on breakdown, repetition, and pulling it all together. This class is for those new to dance, beginner’s or anyone who wants a real break-down of the moves.

Cardio Hip Hop & Zumba : Dance Fitness – All Levels

This is a Dance Fitness class based in Hip Hop and Zumba – taught by Master ZES Trainer, Joy Smith! Come experience the Joy of Dance!
Dance Fitness styles include Hip Hop, Zumba, Jazz, Reggaeton, Latin, Shuffle, etc. – – Joy covers vastly diverse styles with authenticity and freshness, which is part of her creative genius! Joy is widely known for her heart pounding, soul awakening routine’s taking dancers from “Show Girl” to “Hip Hop Street” dancer .
This class will deepen your dance knowledge and technique. Come one, come all! And access the dancer inside of you!

Cardio Street Jazz : Choreography Add-On Class – All Levels

In this class, Joy will breakdown the essential styles of “Street Jazz” and its top essential moves and styles as we build and learn a super fun dance choreography piece over the hour. You will get your sweat on in this cardio dance choreography class! Joy is widely known for her heart pounding, soul awakening dance routine’s taking dancers from “Show Girl” to “Street” dancer.

Inspire Dance : Choreography Add-On Class – All Levels

Inspire Dance is a recipe for a delicious dance cardio experience. Move to your favorite popular songs combining dance styles from hip-hop, funk, jazz and contemporary while spicing it up with a bit of musical theater. Class includes breakdowns and sweat sesh with no pro skills needed. Just bring your passion for dance, love of music and your desire to move!

Inversion Therapy Trapeze Yoga : Anti-Gravity Yoga Practice – All Levels

Reach new lengths and deeper asana with this wonderful support system. Ease into inversions and experience the vast benefits of this anti-gravity yoga practice.
In an upbeat class, we’ll explore what yoga means, why a healthy spine is important and how practice is essential. We’ll begin class with focus on breath and intention, then move into a groin’ exploration of playful postures. In our circle of friends, we’ll uplift and support one another; through positive affirmations, foundational strength and confidence building techniques that will last a lifetime. All levels welcome! See you in the air!

Latin Spice : Latin Dance Inspired Fitness – All Levels
This dance class is an hour of high energy, booty shaking, sweaty fun, filled with the tropical and latin vibes of Samba, Salsa, Reggaeton, Soca, Dancehall, and more. Join us as we travel through a global music and dance journey!
Pilates Flow : Classical Pilates + Yoga Postures (Conditioning Class) – All Levels
This is a refreshing one-hour and 15 minute, mind-body workout. Pilates Flow emphasizes proper breathing, correct spinal and pelvic alignment, and concentration on smooth, flowing movement. The class consists of classic Pilates exercise and Yoga positions that are choreographed to music and flow from one move to the next. This low-impact workout treats the body as an integrated whole, focusing on the core, lower body and upper body strength as well as flexibility and posture. This is a class for all levels, all bodies and all ages. Modifications are taught alongside the most challenging moves. Come and give Pilates Flow a try!
 
Samba : Brazilian Samba Dance – All Levels
This Samba Dance class will break down Samba, develop and strengthen your Samba skills through Samba Drills and build your strength and stamina
Come learn, train and get in the spirit of Rio’s Carnival. Open to All Dancers.
 
Roller Dancing  : Roller Skate, Dance & Fitness  – All Levels
Roller Dancing is roller exercise, skating, and dance movement that is FUN, low impact, and great for all levels to ignite their inner fire and flow.
 
Tropical Fusion : Latin & African Based Dance Fitness – All Levels
Tropical Fusion is a high-energy dance fitness class with music from Brazil, the Caribbean, Latin America, and beyond. We’ll journey through dance styles like Samba, Salsa, Dancehall, Afrobeats, Soca, Rhumba, Cumbia, Calypso, and more resulting in one hour of juicy and joyful movement! Class includes a warmup, cardio dance, easy-to-learn choreography, and cool down. Open to all levels and abilities! Come free your hips, shake your booty, open your heart, express yourself, and feel the Tropical rhythms feed your soul!
 
Urban Cardio Glow : Urban Hip Hop Dance & Movement Class – All Levels
This urban hip-hop dance class blends a warm-up, light choreography breakdown, steady-state cardio and a short cool-down. People of all backgrounds, ages, and fitness levels experience increased joy, energy, confidence, self-esteem, and self-love through urban hip-hop moves and dance. This class is a crowd pleaser with high energy and soul fun!
 
Vibe Brazil : Brazilian Dance + Fitness – All Levels

Baile Funk, Samba, Axé and Core & Booty work. Vibe Brasil is like dancing your heart out to exceptionally fun Brazilian music and the incredible teaching by Gisella. “Ache” means Positive Energy and we only dance and represent this vibe. Come join the fun and catch the “ache” vibe!


What to Expect: DANCE & MOVEMENT ARTS

Expect to move, sweat and have fun in a highly positive and motivating environment! Expect to let go and express yourself, build self-esteem, and dance like “no one is watching”.  The dance style will vary depending on the teacher and class – our live schedule shows the teacher for each class.  The space, which is kept cool, (around 65-68 degrees) is welcoming, spacious, and beautiful with mirror, bamboo floors, and an awesome sound system! There is plenty of cross flow and air in this spacious room – we dance with doors and windows open, have floor and ceiling fans, and air purifiers.

Intro to Pole Choreography Series : Beginner

The series is four or five weeks long and each week you learn new tricks, improve your strength and flexibility, and piece together a fun routine you get to complete on the final week. The last week of the series we celebrate with a mini potluck, class performance, and you get to walk away with a video clip of yourself dancing the full routine.

Pole Foundations / L1 Tricks : Beginner / L1 

In this class we will show you the foundations and make you L1 ready with conditioning, exercises and Level 1 Tricks.

Beginners: If you are a beginner and have taken 0-5 classes, pole foundations is a great starting point of your pole journey. This 1 hour and 15 min class is where you learn grips, holds, direction, basic floor work, spins, and build your strength and comfort with pole.

Level 1: People who are starting to learn Level 1, this will advance your practice with sits, climb, and conditioning you for inverts.

 
Pole L1 / L2 Tricks : L1 / L2

Pole Level 1 / 2 is a 1 hour and 15 min class dedicated to showing you more holds, climbs, sits, and transitions once you already have the basics down. This is a great class to continue your pole journey and give you fun moves to practice and to continue to advance and deepen your pole practice and further empower your on your pole journey.

Pole Choreo Lab  : L1 and Up

Choreo Lab is a 1 hour 30 min class dedicated to bringing fluidity, improvisation, and comfort with transitions through dance and movement exercises, games, and more. This is a Level 1 and up class for those of you that have gone through the foundations and intro courses and are ready to bring your movement quality to the next level. Each week we have new and fun practices in class. You will definitely improve your comfort on the pole and your fluidity through tricks and transitions by coming to this class.

Pole Heels : All Levels

Heels are the cherry on top of the pole dancing ice cream sundae. Join us Thursday nights for a magical pole dance heels experience. We will be working on heels basics, floorwork, spicy low pole tricks, strength and fluidity. All levels are welcome. Please bring knee pads and socks or heels.

Spin Pole : Mixed Levels

Students will work on the fundamentals of spin pole, including grip strength, controlling spin speed, spin pole mount, and transitions using spin. Examples of tricks that will be taught are: spinning climbs, figurehead, ballerina variations, two-point holds, and pole sit variations. Each class will begin with a grounded warm-up, shoulder and grip conditioning, several spin tricks, and end with a sequence or guided activity incorporating our new skills. All tricks include variations for beginner and intermediate levels. We recommend several static pole classes prior to joining spin pole, but no other experience or prerequisites are required. This class is perfect for those just getting started in pole or current pole students wanting to master their spin pole flow!

Pole Acrobatics 101 / Foundations : All Levels, beginners / first timers please take 2-3 Foundations classes first

Learn the fundamentals of using the floor with your pole for acrobatic skills such as handstands, walkovers, and arm balances! Every class will begin with a general warm-up, shoulder & wrist conditioning. We’ll then move into conditioning some sort of inverted “stand” technique, from a shoulder stand to a handstand. This will be followed by one or two more pole acrobatic skills, and class will finish with a sequence or guided activity incorporating our new skills. Example tricks include twisted grip pole forearmstands, helicopter legs in stands, and shoulderstand splits. We recommend being able to hold a plank on hands or forearms for at least 30 seconds before joining class.

Open Pole : All Levels

Open pole is a 1 hour 15 class dedicated to giving you the space you need to work on the tricks you’ve been learning in class, transitions, combos, and/or to condition and build strength. This is open to all levels. You will have an instructor present to support you but you are responsible for your warm up and what you decide to work on.

 
Arial Dance: Dance in Single Point Aerial Hammock – All Levels

Come be taken away by the movement and music! Aerial dance is a class where you learn a routine on the ground that takes you into the air. All levels are welcome but please be aware you will be going upside down a lot. Over time this class builds coordination, strength, flexibility and feeds your creative mind. This class starts with a simple, sexy ground flow and then continues into single point aerial hammock. Come learn a choreographed routine for you to take with you into the world and enjoy!
