Parading: If you would like to parade in Carnaval please let us know and we will find you a school to parade with at an additional cost

Flights and Airport Transfer are NOT included 

Flights: Please fly into Rio de Janeiro (RIO) Airport. Recommend flying to RIO on the evening of February 2nd (red-eye) and arriving in RIO on February 3rd / Flying Home in the afternoon / evening of February 12th (unless you plan on traveling on after our Brazil Tour)

Airport Transfer: We offer to help arrange airport transfer for our guests flying from SFO to Rio de Janeiro (RIO). This would be at additional cost. 

Hotel: We are staying at Rio Othon Palace: Hotel Check-in: 3pm / Check-out: 12pm

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTORS: GISELLA FERREIRA
 
 
 
 
Gisella Ferreira, a Brazilian American performance artist and instructor specializing in: Samba, Afro-Brazilian, Capoeira, Hip- Hop, Burlesque and Brazilian Baile Funk. Her titles include: The 1st Samba Queen USA/ Rainha do Samba 2014, Musa do Brazilian Day SD 2014 & 2015, and current Hollywood Carnival Queen.
 
Gisella studied at UCLA’s Dept. of World Arts and Cultures, focusing on dance choreography and performance, as well as on art activism. She began teaching dance at age 12 in Santa Cruz CA and has taught in Rio de Janeiro (Brasil), Salvador (Brasil) and Los Angeles CA. Gisella lives in Los Angeles, where she choreographs, teaches dance, and performs with her own company, Samba Soul. She can also be found performing at The Floor Show and improv nights around LA.
 
She also tours and performs worldwide and trains extensively in the U.S. as well as Brasil in many dance forms including Capoeira, Samba and Hip-Hop. She was named one of “LA’s Hottest Trainers” in 2012 and has been active in Health day LA as well as Let’s Move LA, dedicating time to help the LA community become more active and inspired through dance.
 
Gisella Ferreira loves sharing her passion for life through artistic movement expression, and dances as a form of energy work & healing for herself and others. She is inspired to live each day in joy and gratitude and help to give back to the world through dance.
 
MEET YOUR INSTRUCTORS: MEGAN MCALLISTER
 
 
 
 
 
Megan Brooke McAllister is the inspired owner, yogini, and dance / sacred movement instructor at Pleasure Point Yoga. Megan is registered with the Yoga Alliance as a RYT-500, is Zumba Instructor Certified and dance enthusiast, and leads yoga and dance retreats around the world. Megan is deeply connected with the cosmos, the mystical, the moon, directions and elements, teaching vinyasa flow inspired with mudra, manta, meditation, pranayama and sacred movement to connect back with sacred self, to sit with the light and the dark, while honoring and integrating all parts. She has been leading and participating in Women’s Moon Circles, working with the goddess, ritual and ceremony for over 20 Years. Former executive director in high technology in Silicon Valley, she holds BAs in Economics and Psychology from University of California Santa Cruz and MBA from Santa Clara University. She found the jewel of her heart as student at Pleasure Point Yoga, which offered her refuge and a loving container to heal and awaken to her soul’s calling.

No Refunds – No Credits will be issued for Cancellations

Pleasure Point Yoga is not responsible for any loss or damage as a result of a substitution, alteration or cancellation/postponement of an event. Pleasure Point Yoga shall assume no liability whatsoever in the event this retreat is cancelled, rescheduled or postponed due to a fortuitous event, Act of God, unforeseen occurrence or any other event that renders performance of this retreat impracticable, illegal or impossible. For purposes of this clause, a fortuitous event shall include, but not be limited to: COVID-19, war, fire, labor strike, extreme weather or other emergency.

In the event Pleasure Point Yoga postpones or reschedules this retreat, your spot will be guaranteed and transferred to that later date.
