Pole Heels (4 Class Series) (Feb 1 – 22)

Description: 

Heels are the cherry on top of the pole dancing ice cream sundae. Join us Thursday nights for a magical pole dance heels experience. We will be working on heels basics, floorwork, spicy low pole tricks, strength and fluidity. All levels are welcome. Please bring knee pads and socks or heels.

Pole Spin Class (4 Class Series) w/Jody (Jan 14 & 21, Feb 4 & 18)

Description: 

Students will work on the fundamentals of spin pole, including grip strength, controlling spin speed, spin pole mount, and transitions using spin. Examples of tricks that will be taught are: spinning climbs, figurehead, ballerina variations, two-point holds, and pole sit variations. Each class will begin with a grounded warm-up, shoulder and grip conditioning, several spin tricks, and end with a sequence or guided activity incorporating our new skills. All tricks include variations for beginner and intermediate levels. We recommend several static pole classes prior to joining spin pole, but no other experience or prerequisites are required. This class is perfect for those just getting started in pole or current pole students wanting to master their spin pole flow!

Pole Acrobatics 101 / Foundations (4 Class Series) w/Jody (Jan 14 & 21, Feb 4 & 18)

LEVELS: All Levels, beginners / first timers please take 2-3 Foundations classes first

 

Description: 

Learn the fundamentals of using the floor with your pole for acrobatic skills such as handstands, walkovers, and arm balances! Every class will begin with a general warm-up, shoulder & wrist conditioning. We’ll then move into conditioning some sort of inverted “stand” technique, from a shoulder stand to a handstand. This will be followed by one or two more pole acrobatic skills, and class will finish with a sequence or guided activity incorporating our new skills. Example tricks include twisted grip pole forearmstands, helicopter legs in stands, and shoulderstand splits. We recommend being able to hold a plank on hands or forearms for at least 30 seconds before joining class.

DESCRIPTION: Valentines Theme Choreo 4 Week Series

Friday nights are for luxuriating in play, fun and sensuality. Our Choreo Series are dedicated to bringing the fun and play into pole with sexy and creative choreography, story telling, character embodiment and more. The series is four weeks long and each week you learn new tricks, improve your strength and flexibility, and piece together a fun routine you get to complete on the fourth week. The last week of the series we celebrate with a mini potluck, class performance, and you get to walk away with a video clip of yourself dancing the full routine.

This particular choreo series is dedicated to the month of love and features sexy floor work, fun tricks and a playful character to get you ready and in the mood for Valentine’s Day. We will be working with Jeremih’s “I like” Feat Ludacris.

Pole Foundations / L1 Tricks Class (Beginner / Level 1)

DESCRIPTION:

​Levels: Beginner and Level 1

 
In this class we will show you the foundations and make you L1 ready with conditioning, exercises and Level 1 Tricks.
 
Beginners: If you are a beginner and have taken 0-5 classes, pole foundations is a great starting point of your pole journey. This 1 hour and 15 min class is where you learn grips, holds, direction, basic floor work, spins, and build your strength and comfort with pole.
 
Level 1: People who are starting to learn Level 1, this will advance your practice with sits, climb, and conditioning you for inverts.
 
 
What to wear:
Shorts, and sports bra and tank top. Bring socks and/or leg warmers.

Pole L1/L2 Tricks Weekly Class

LEVEL: Level 1 / Level 2

 

DESCRIPTION: Pole Level 1 / 2 is a 1 hour and 15 min class dedicated to showing you more holds, climbs, sits, and transitions once you already have the basics down. This is a great class to continue your pole journey and give you fun moves to practice and to continue to advance and deepen your pole practice and further empower your on your pole journey.

What to Wear: Shorts, and sports bra and tank top

 

INSTRUCTOR BIO: Marli is a level 1 certified instructor who has been teaching pole dance for two years. With a background in triathlon, yoga, and climbing, she began pole dancing in 2018 to explore feminine embodiment and became obsessed with the workout, creativity and community that pole dance offers. She loves to start with conditioning for strength, mobility and injury prevention, then break down complicated tricks, and add fun transitions for graceful flowing. Join her class learn moves and have fun!​

Sexi Flexi Pole Conditioning: Weekly Class

DESCRIPTION:

This 1 hour class is a great way to get your flexibility and conditioning in. Whether you are a dancer, yogi, or pole dancer, this is a great way to get fit and improve your mobility.

The class is broken down into two sections. The first 30 min are dedicated to warming you up with mobility exercises that include plyometrics, yoga asana, and active and passive stretches to help improve upon your flexibility. The second 30 min of class are dedicated to circuit style pole conditioning drills to help you build strength in your upper body, core, and develop better inverts, leg hangs, pull ups, and more.

This is an all levels class and you don’t have to be interested in pole to join us! This class takes place just before our weekly Choreo Lab at 8pm and will improve your experience and strength in this class so you can focus on dancing for the choreo lab having warmed up your body. Choreo Lab Level 1 & Up: Weekly Class

PRE-REQUISITE: Intro to Pole Series / Prior Pole Experience

 

DESCRIPTION: Choreo Lab is a 1 hour 30 min class dedicated to bringing fluidity, improvisation, and comfort with transitions through dance and movement exercises, games, and more. This is a Level 1 and up class for those of you that have gone through the foundations and intro courses and are ready to bring your movement quality to the next level. Each week we have new and fun practices in class. You will definitely improve your comfort on the pole and your fluidity through tricks and transitions by coming to this class.

INSTRUCTOR BIO: Vaidehi Amair is a lover of movement. Whether it is dance, yoga, aerial dance, freestyle movement, or stretching, she truly believes in the power of movement to heal, nurture and recharge the human being on all levels of body, mind and spirit. As a movement instructor and soul purpose coach, she loves to incorporate her different movement backgrounds into her daily life and work through her own practice as well as through teaching others and creating sacred space for others to participate. She is a certified BUTI Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga and Pole Level 1-2 instructor that has a deep connection to music and its dynamic catalytic effect on the body and is ready to help her students develop not only their own practice and physical expansion, but an awakening love for a personal movement quality they can call their own.

DESCRIPTION: Open pole is a 1 hour 15 class dedicated to giving you the space you need to work on the tricks you’ve been learning in class, transitions, combos, and/or to condition and build strength. This is open to all levels. You will have an instructor present to support you but you are responsible for your warm up and what you decide to work on.
