Caren Camblin :

Teaching is my way of being in the world. As a child I would line up my stuffed animals with my cat and play school, giving them lessons on colors, numbers, and ABCs. I realize I understand everything better when I share it with someone else. In this way, I remain a student first. After earning an MA in philosophy at Stanford, I started a small tutoring company and began teaching at UCSC. I hold a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and have been teaching martial arts for over 15 years. After years of practicing different styles of yoga, I’ve fallen in love with Vinyasa and Yin and embarked on the teacher’s path with Rolf Gates in 2013.

What I love about yoga is the union of philosophy and action, the encouragement to work on ourselves as we serve the world around us.
