Katie Jacobson :
Katie first discovered the healing and transformative benefits of yoga almost 10 years ago (when she was sixteen years old). Taking a holistic approach, her classes focus on harmonizing breath with movement. Embarking on her own journey of self-discovery, Katie traveled throughout India and had the privilege of studying at the Anand Prakash Ashram, where she completed her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training. Katie’s warm presence creates a nurturing environment in which she encourages students to surrender and listen to their bodies. Katie brings a sense of compassion to each posture, inspiring students to look inward and move with authenticity and ease. After facing her own injuries and limitations, Katie has developed sincere empathy and concern for the safety of her students. Through this journey, she has learned that every challenge presents an opportunity for greater introspection and growth.
As an Ayurvedic Lifestyle Counselor, Katie intertwines her knowledge of this ancient system of healing with the Yoga wisdom tradition to promote balance of body, mind, and spirit. Katie lives her practice by getting her feet sandy at the beach, savoring the smells of nature, visiting local farmers markets, and experimenting in the kitchen.
