Julia Headrick :

My intention in teaching yoga is to cultivate more joy and more ease into our everyday lives.

For me, the yoga journey began at the ripe age of 33 years old. My first class was taught by Aimee Nitzberg right here at Pleasure Point Yoga and as soon as it began I knew I was right where I was meant to be. I had no idea the boundless gifts that yoga had to offer. I was challenged, engaged, opening in ways I never knew possible, being shown new and truly exciting tools to approach any life situation simply by practicing steadiness while in these postures and most of all, I was beginning to feel what connection and love, of self and others, really felt like.

In April of 2017 I completed the teacher training of my dreams under Aimee Nitzberg, Jessie Hess, Kenny Graham, Naomi Charanpal and many others. When I enrolled in the program it was with the intention of broadening my own understanding of yoga. When I graduated the program, the intention grew and the inspiration to share what I had learned with all those interested in finding/continuing this connection was undeniable.

Yoga has given me access to the unending well of love that exists within and around each of us. With purposeful movement, a little sweat, a lot of love and gentle humor it is my great privilege to guide you through your practice and share with you what has so profoundly enhanced my life.
